The primary fundraising focus for 2009 is for the Literacy Program of New Jersey but additional funds are available for people or organizations in need within the communities Rainbow Academy serves.
Families or programs located in the communities where there are Rainbow Academy centers can apply for a grant if their need fits into one of the categories below. They would then fill out an application and submit it for review. Applicants must be “sponsored” by a Rainbow Academy parent, staff or investor.
Areas for grants include:
- Family Education (book programs for needy families and sign language classes for a family member of a deaf child, etc.)
- Family Health & Well Being (medical costs, autism therapy, hearing aids costs and family therapy, etc.)
- Family Planning (adoption, in-vitro and fertility expenses, etc.)
- Rainbow Dreams (crisis funds, vacations for a child with terminal illnesses, and making dreams come true, etc.)
