Upcoming Fundraising Events
Our 2009 fundraising efforts have begun by just asking for “small change”!  Wishing Wells, like this one pictured below in Rainbow Academy of Whippany, will be popping up in our centers. Every coin counts and children are learning the importance of giving while parents are getting rid of their "spare" change.  All are making a difference ...one penny at a time!

Each center supports the foundation with different fundraising activities such as Family Picture Events, Book Sales, Toy Drives, Cookie and Pizza sales.  One successful annual event is the “Rainbow Open”, a children’s fair and mini-golf tournament hosted by the Cranford center.

Books Come Alive
The intention of “BOOKS COME ALIVE” is to encourage students and their parents/guardians to read books together for one month and at the same time raise money for Literacy Programs of New Jersey (LPNJ).

Each child and parent/guardian will receive a form where they will list each book that they read.  During the month of reading, the child and parent/guardian will ask friends, family members, co-workers etc. to sponsor the student by pledging money for each book that they read.

To make the BOOKS COME ALIVE”, Rainbow Academy will host a party to celebrate the reading event and the LPNJ will host a special guest t read to the children at the event.  Some of the guests include:

• Fireman
• Martial arts demonstration
• Nurse
