Hello, The Parentview system runs on Internet Explorer using an ActiveX plug- in. Your company may be blocking the ActiveX control. First, please check these settings in Internet Explorer: Click on tools Internet Options Security tab Custom Level button In the ActiveX Controls and Plug-Ins Section please make sure the settings are enabled or prompt button(in the internet section and the local intranet section). Download signed ActiveX controls Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins Script ActiveX controls Marked safe for scripting Also click on trusted sites in the security tab and add www.parentview??.com Substitute ?? with one of the following depending on your location cr (Cranford) wb (Woodbridge) is (Iselin) nb (North Brunswick) The next step is to clear out some temporary files: Tools Internet Options In the temporary internet files section Delete cookies (respond yes to pop-up message) Delete files (respond yes to pop-up message) Settings Click on View Objects Select and delete the following files : files containing a combo of letters and numbers NVR_vactrl.NVRvactrl prjNowView.NowView Finally, make sure the status of the Internet Connection Firewall is not set to 'started' Right mouse click on My Computer Icon Choose Manage Choose Services and Applications Double-click on Services Check staus of item Internet Connection Firewall (ICF)/ Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) Proceed to close out I.E. and reboot Login to parentview and install program Please let us know if this still does not work.
